Built by the Portuguese, fortified by the Dutch, garrisoned by the British, Galle Fort compresses centuries of colonial history into a walkable grid of coral-stone lanes. This private walk moves through the quarter's design spine, its converted Dutch townhouses and hidden courtyards, guided by a local historian.
