We are an editorial guide

The Pearl Edition writes about Sri Lanka: the places, the stays, the experiences and the routes between them. We help you shape a journey, and we design the itinerary you see.

We do not sell trips, take payment for trips, or confirm bookings. That is done by our travel partner in Sri Lanka.

Our travel partner

Trips are quoted, sold and operated by Traumland Tours, a licensed tour operator in Sri Lanka. When you send an enquiry, it goes to them, and they reply with a quote.

Your contract is with Traumland Tours. Their quote sets out the price, what it includes, how and when to pay, and their cancellation terms. Please read it before you pay.

Who you pay

You pay Traumland Tours directly, using the payment details on their quote. The Pearl Edition never asks for, takes or holds payment for a trip.

Prices shown on this site are typical ranges to help you plan. They are not offers. Your final price is the one on your quote.

How we earn

Traumland Tours pays us a referral fee when a trip goes ahead. It is part of their price, not an extra charge to you. Some hotel links on this site are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no cost to you. Full disclosure.

Good to know

International flights, visas and travel insurance are usually not included in a quote. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
