About The Pearl Edition
The Pearl Edition is a premium editorial travel platform for Sri Lanka, curated destinations, bookable experiences, boutique stays and the stories that make the island worth crossing the world for. We're based between Colombo and the road that connects it to everywhere else.
We collect only what's needed to plan your trip, your name, contact details, and travel preferences when you reach out through Plan Your Trip, WhatsApp or our booking forms. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it beyond the partners directly involved in fulfilling your trip (hotels, drivers, experience operators).
Cookies on this site are used for basic analytics and to remember your preferences, nothing beyond that. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful; it records visits in aggregate and we do not use it to identify individuals. You can request your data be removed at any time by contacting us directly.
The Pearl Edition earns affiliate commission. When you book a hotel through a link on this site, the booking platform pays us a small percentage of the booking value. You pay nothing extra, and the price you see is the same price you would find going direct.
We work with Booking.com and Agoda. Where a property has its own website, we link there as well, and we earn nothing from those links.
Commission never decides what appears here. Every hotel, experience and destination on this site is chosen editorially. If a place is listed, it is because we would send a friend there.
Content on this site, photography, writing, itineraries, belongs to The Pearl Edition unless otherwise credited. Prices and availability shown across the site are indicative and confirmed at the time of booking. We work with licensed, vetted local operators for every experience and stay listed here.
