What does a tailor-made trip include?
Usually your own car and chauffeur-guide from the airport to the last morning, hotels chosen with you, train seats and safari jeeps where they can be reserved, guides and entry tickets at the main sites, and Traumland Tours on call while you travel. International flights, visas and travel insurance are not included. Every trip is quoted individually, so your quote sets out exactly what is included.
How does it work?
Tell us your dates, how long, who is coming and what you love. Traumland Tours replies by email within 48 hours with a route, hotels and a price. Change anything you like; nothing is booked or charged until you say yes.
How much does a luxury trip to Sri Lanka cost?
It depends on the hotels, the season and how long you stay. UK tour specialists list Sri Lanka trips of ten days to fourteen nights from about £3,750 to £7,200 a person (October 2026), which may include flights. Ask our partner for a land-only quote, without flights, and compare like for like.
Who do I book with?
With Traumland Tours, our licensed travel partner in Sri Lanka. They quote, book and operate the trip, and you pay them directly. The Pearl Edition designs routes and recommends hotels, and never takes payment from travellers.
How does The Pearl Edition get paid?
Traumland Tours pays us a referral fee when a trip we sent them goes ahead. It is part of their price, not an extra charge to you. Some hotel links on the site are affiliate links.
How long should a first trip to Sri Lanka be?
Ten to fourteen nights covers the cultural triangle, the hill country and the south coast without rushing. With seven nights, choose two regions.
When is the best time for a luxury trip?
December to April for the south and west coasts and the hill country, which is when most first trips happen. May to September for the east coast. The island has a good region in every month.
